sheriff's office in nevada which was actually across the state line. it took lake tahoe police reportedly more than a day and a half to notify nevada. we called them this morning and we are waiting to hear what they have to say about it. meantime, alyssa burns has not been seen since shortly before midnight according to friends who were with her. she was in town for a three day music festival which attracts thousands. she disappeared around 11:30 and told her friends she was taking a shuttle back to the resort. she was spotted by guests in the lobby around midnight. she worked as a hostess here in petaluma and was studying to be a paramedic firefighter at the campus. again she is described as 5- foot 3, long hair died black and a fair complexion. we'll see where all of this stands right now with the investigation. live in petaluma, ktvu channel 2 morning news. >>> a court arrangement is set for today accused of hitting and killing 2 innocent people in new year's morning. ktvu channel 2 morning news has obtained this armature video from south vanness on 21st street. david morale

sierra nevada so far hasn't done too much. there could be isolated snow showers. i did see five degrees up in truckee. breezy and cooler is the main weather. partly sunny this afternoon to mostly sunny. a little bit of a cooler start. cool and breezy. 50s on the temps and mid 50s low 50s probably in the higher elevations. we'll keep everything about a four or five degree spread here. cold on tuesday morning and sunny. then it looks like severe clear. sunny and warmer weather will take us wednesday, thursday, and friday. mostly sunny on your weekend. maybe a little cooler by sunday. >>> there is a report the japanese government eased its safety regulations to help fast track dream liners. japan airlines asked the tokyo government to cut back the number of mandatory inspections while the dream liner was being built. japanese companies produced more than one-third of the jets component. >>> over night investors in japan took profits sending the nikkei down almost 1%. right now the european markets are mixed this morning. most of them up but germany, france showing small losses. che

southern nevada and parts of the west coast, there is a huge difference in temperatures. santa rosa, a lot of 20s even novato, fairfield, and the airport the only thing holding up is a little bit of a breeze. this flow is and coming right out of the north, northeast and that gives you a sign by the coast it will not be too bad. i don't care how much sun we get, it doesn't feel that warm so very cold in the morning with that east breeze which helps oakland, emoryville, those areas get a benefit from that breeze but most locations are in the lower 50s. discuss is 57, although it is 30 degrees right now. a little warmer into thursday and with your weekend in view, we will have to make a return to the valley and it will warm up coast and bay. >>> keeping an eye on the del stock, del could go private circulating and del is talking with private equity firms about a potential buy out. del has lost 40% since last year's peak and the cost of going private makes sense. it will allow del to restructure without criticism from share holders. >>> it grew by 10% and china added 51 million new users e
